Hello Shell, thank you for the links, unfortunately they don't work for me, and I still can't read your original message, would you like to send me an email outside of Substack? hello@natureandwildlife.co.uk

Carol, I've just sent the links to you again in an email. I wonder if you may have a setting that's preventing you from opening them, as I haven't had any issues with other UK members needing UK verification to see them. I hope the links will work for you. Have a great day. 😊
Hi Shell, haven't recieved an email from you only Substack notifications, I can use the link to your site but nothing else. If you don't mind sending me a normal email away from Substack I will be able to read it and reply to you. Its a new safety law that prevents people from the UK being able to read messages and some links from other countries unless verified through ID (Consent). There is a post about it on Substack Thanks Carol. My email address hello@natureandwildlife.co.uk
My dad sent me this post of yours and I remembered how one time years ago we had a similar Brazilian dish on a family trip. The dish, and the memories it invokes are comforting indeed. 🙏🏽
Nico, I gasped to read that your dad sent you one of my posts! Wow, what an incredibly small and tight-knit world. I love that you’ve had the Brazilian version of this dish, and that it lives on in your memories even years later. I also ruminate and savor memorable dishes in my mind that I’ve enjoyed in years past. I love so much that you do this too. 🥰
I found the arborio rice and I made the dish last night, and it was delicious! I had everything but the bay leaf on hand, and I used cilantro instead of parsley. My teenager also loved it so I'll definitely be making it again. Thank YOU! :-)
P.S. It's just the two of us so I halved the recipe, which still left us some yummy leftovers.
This looks delish, and very authentic. I've made Arroz de Feijão à Transmontana (with chourico and pork belly) here in Portugal and love it. Will try this recipe soon. Obrigada Shell!

I want to try this! It looks so good. I just need to find arborio rice. I'll check World Market... :-)
Thanks so much, Sadie! That really means a lot. 🥰

Yay! Sadie, this absolutely makes my day. Thanks so very much for making my recipe! And I’m so thrilled that you and your teenager enjoyed it. ❤️

This looks amazing, Shell!
Thanks so much, Laura! 🥰
My kind of food (I probably eat far too much rice…)! Thank you!
Thanks, Stephen, I love this!🥰
